Veeeery interesting. You can’t miss this thing coming down the road or parked at the local RV park. It’s a Freightliner 18 wheeler converted into a Class A motorhome! As in, it’s the front of a diesel rig with Class A living quarters professionally attached.
This unit has on 35k miles on it; the diesel engine is a recently rebuilt 6 cylinder with an extreme load capacity. Transmission is a Fuller Eaton 9 over. The mechanics are in overall very good condition.
Some of the other major equipment included will be a solar battery charger and 2000 watt inverter; for more power, a quiet 2500 watt Onan generator that runs on propane. It has two 150 gallon fuel tanks.
To keep things comfy, there is new roof air conditioning, a catalytic furnace and heater. This rig has LOTS of storage space, you’ll be able to haul everything you need for any excursions, whether a few days or on a semi-permanent basis. The backup cameras helps you see while trying to park or pull out; leveling jacks keep everything on an even keel inside.
The living quarters amenities are first class. It has an over-cab queen sized bed, plus the sofa is also a sleeper- not to mention, the dinette converts to a bed. There is additonal storage under the beds.
The bathroom has the standard shower & sink set up, with a toilet. In the kitchen, you will cook with comfort & ease because instead of some old hot plate, you’ve got a four burner stove with oven- plus the microwave. You could cook Thanksgiving dinner in this thing. Wash up your dishes in the stainless steel double sink. You also get a propane powered fridge woth 110v power, and a silverware / utensil drawer.
In general, it has a nice decor with extras such as carpeting and venetian blinds.
Yes, this unit is quite a bit over-the-top. But it’s priced right at $36,850 and located in Casa Grande, AZ. If it’s not quite what you need, click here to see hundreds of other motorhomes, campers, travel trailers, etc that may fit the bill.
